About The Gathering
The Gathering is a place for individuals to come together to experience and have an encounter with almighty God.
This is done by recognizing and welcoming the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Our worship time is intentional through creating an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to move freely in our midst through His manifest presence and through trained and equipped individuals that are accountable to leadership. We highly value the word of God being declared and demonstrated through; preaching, teaching, the gifts of the Spirit and laying on of hands.

We're Not Your Typical Church
​
The Gathering is not designed to be a typical church. Our government, focus and operation is different. Most churches are set up as a destination but we are set up as a launching pad. It's not about going to, it is about moving out. A typical church cares for the sheep, and that is important, but we are called raise up an army and mobilize it and equip others to minister. We are not called to retain, we are called to release, releasing one into the community, into your destiny to ultimately affecting your environment.

We are not asking you to fit into our programs. In fact, we are not program oriented. We desire to help you discover your God given purpose and then do everything we can to train, equip, empower and release you into your destiny. We are interested in building the Kingdom of God - One Heart, One Individual at a time. We raise up Five-Fold ministers that are strategists, builders, and connectors with evangelistic, pastoral, and prophetic gifts. Our goal is to take spiritual territory and affect our community.
FIRST VISIT
If this is your first time joining us, we want you to come as you are. Whether your wear jeans or dress up, we have a relaxed atmosphere.

Our church meets upstairs at Empowering Life Center. [Use the back door entrance.] There is a children's class after worship for elementary-aged children K-5.

We even have coffee on Sunday's if you would like some!
ENVIRONMENT
The Gathering is a congregation rooted in the love of God and dedicated to discipleship and growing in Jesus. It is our goal for God's love to be manifest in signs, wonders and miracles as well as practical demonstrations of care and affection.
The atmosphere at The Gathering is charged with faith and exuberant joy, which manifests in all that we do. We believe in seeing the kingdom of Heaven manifested on earth.

OUR COMMUNITY
Located in Houlton, Maine, our church is an epicenter for training the body of Christ. Honoring God and helping people encounter Him is our passion.

We are not program focused. We won't ask you to commit to something each night of the week. Instead we focus on the individual's intimacy with Christ. We pray together. We eat together. We worship together. We do life together.
